This memorial was inaugurated in 1922 in memory the deaths of the First World War, the Second World War, and the Korea. Erected after the First World War with 235 names. Another 81 names were added for those who died in the Second World War, after Korea the dates 1950 - 1953 were added. It was refurbished and relocated a few feet west of the original location in the centre of Riverside Park. On 9 May 2006, this park was rededicated as Riverside Veterans' Memorial Park. This memorial was made possible by contributions from #34 S.F.T.S. Association members and families, Branch #17 Royal Canadian Legion and Private Donations. The site was provided by the City of Medicine Hat.
