The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 140 made this park possible. The park was designed by Camrec Facilities, the contractor was Ian Whittaker, and the artist who created the globe statue was Ken Billington. The globe was created with imported Swedish steel. The park was unveiled on 13 September 1986.
