The Breton Cenotaph was constructed in1955 in memory of the fallen from the First and Second World Wars. It was unveiled on November 1, 1969, in a joint project of the Breton Town Council and Warburg Legion Branch 205. The unveiling was by the Honourable Grant McEwan, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta and the Provincial President of the Royal Canadian Legion, Comrade Bill Gordon. It was dedicated by Reverend Dr. Gerald Hutchinson.
