Erected by the City of Williams Lake and Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 139, this memorial is dedicated to the local war dead of the First and Second World Wars and the memory of the Korean War. It was built in 1968 below the former War Memorial Hospital. It was moved and rededicated on 3 November 1984 beside City Hall in conjunction with the new City Hall dedication. The parking lot next to it is used as a parade ground for ceremonies. The Korean War plaque was added and dedicated on 11 September 1994.
