The Condor memorial commemorates an entire ship's company lost in action. It consists of the ship’s life ring and a commemorative plaque. It was placed by the Royal Navy’s Pacific Squadron. The ring, recovered from the Pacific Ocean, is one of the few remnants of HMS Condor, lost at sea with all hands in December 1901.
