The Poppy Painting was sponsored and spearheaded by Communities in Bloom in partnership with the Eagle Valley Arts Council, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 99, the District of Sicamous, and local businesses. It was painted in a barn quilt style by Colleen Thurgood in 2019. Next to it hangs the Fallen Soldier Painting.
