The Whalley Cenotaph was erected by the Whalley Royal Canadian Legion Branch 229 in 1952 on the grounds of the Grosvenor Road School. Later it was moved to the Legion's property at 13525 106th Avenue.
Since 2019, the cenotaph has been in storage and only displayed at Remembrance Day services. The Legion Veterans Village is currently being built. A project initiated by the Royal Canadian Legion BC/Yukon Command, Whalley Legion Branch 229 and the Lark Group that will provide several services to Veterans. When the project is completed both a new cenotaph and the old cenotaph will be outside of the new Legion building.
