Le canon de Shannon est venu des remparts de Londonderry, en Irlande où il a défendu le protestantisme de 1649 à 1688. Présenté en 1865 par William Shannon de Kingston. Présenté en 1909 à l’église presbytérienne de St Andrew par la loge no 1 des Apprentice Boys of Derry. Restauré en 1990 par l’association des vétérans de l’église de St Andrew.
