Additional information
Born Henry-Oswald Castonguay. Son of John Henri Castonguay and Adèle Robichaud, of Greenville, New Hampshire. He stated being born in 1895 when he enlisted.

Enlisted in the 57th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, he crossed into England on 16 October 1915 and arrived in Plymouth on the 28th. He was first transferred to the 69th Reserve Battalion on 13 July 1916, then to the 22nd Battalion on 4 October 1916. He was court-martialled on 12 July 1917 for desertion and sentenced to death, which was commuted and reduced. He was released on 11 August 1918. Wounded in action on 28 September 1918 during the Battle of Chérisy, France, he died on the 29th at the 7th Casualty Clearing Station. He was buried at Ligny-Saint-Flochel, Pas-de-Calais, before being exhumed and reburied at Averdoingt.

Ligny-St.Flochel is a village about 6.5 kilometres east of St.Pol on the main road to Arras. The distance from Ligny-St. Flochel to Arras is approximately 24 kilometres. The Ligny-St.Flochel British Cemetery is situated to the south of the village on the east side of the road to the village of Averdoingt.
