The year 2026 represents a significant milestone - the centenary of supporting veterans, fostering community development, and honoring the legacy of those who have served. Branch #288 invites our veterans, serving military, the RCMP, other first responders and the community to participation in the following activities designed to celebrate the 100^th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legions across Canada to promote awareness, camaraderie, friendship, and engagement.

1. Opening Ceremonies: cadette parade with color party, welcome from federal, provincial and local dignitaries, veterans welcome, RCMP welcome, Airdrie Indigenous drumming and dance performance and elder prayer.
2. BBQ meal available to all who attend
3. Door Prizes
4. Local entertainment throughout the day
5. Veterans meet and greet the public and share Legion history
