On Saturday August 8, 2026 at 15:00, the Canadian War Museum will host a viewing of the documentary “Caught in the Crossfire” in the Barney Danson Theatre located at 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa.
“Caught in the Crossfire” explores the extraordinary true story of Canada’s role during the 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus. What began as a routine UN Peacekeeping rotation became a high-stakes operation as the Canadian Airborne Regiment held the line with Greek and Turkish forces battling for control. Please join us to learn about this gripping chapter of Canadian history.
