Echoes of Valour: The National Military Cemetery History Evenings

Inaugural Event – The Legacy of Military Chaplains

Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa
Thursday, October 2, 2025 1900 hrs (7:00 PM)
Step into history with the launch of Echoes of Valour, a new evening series hosted at the National Military Cemetery. These evenings bring to life the stories, sacrifices, and traditions that have shaped Canada’s military legacy.

Our first event features Padre Thomas Hamilton, who will lead an engaging exploration of the history and heritage of Canadian military chaplains. From the trenches of the First World War to modern operations, padres have offered strength, solace, and spiritual support to those in uniform.

This special presentation will include a display of chaplain uniforms and artifacts from across the decades, offering a unique glimpse into their evolving role within the Canadian Armed Forces.

Hosted with the support of the Department of National Defence, Directorate of History and Heritage (DHH).

Admission is free. All are welcome. Register today!
