PLEASE NOTE: The Remembrance Day Service begins at 10:45 am; changed in 2025 to coincide with the Armistice agreement signed in Paris on Monday, 11 November 1918 at 0500 hours and the ceasefire which went into effect at 1100 hours the same morning.

Please join us at 10:45 am at the Murray Harbour Cenotaph to pause and remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. The service will be held outside, rain or shine, and will include the laying of wreaths.

As in years past, the youth and young families from the area will be leading the service. Should you be laying a wreath in recognition of your loved one, please contact (via text or phone) the coordinators of the event. If at all possible, if you can notify us prior to the service on November 11 to add the name of your love one to our list of wreaths to be laid it would be appreciated.

At the conclusion of the service, we encourage you to visit the memorial garden where trees in memory of the 14 service soldiers from the area who paid the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives during the First and Second World Wars are planted. As well, please feel free to visit the Community Centre to listen to some “war time” music and come together to honour the lives of our service men and women.
