SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF COMMANDING OFFICER, OFFICERS, NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS AND MEN OF THE 86TH MACHINE GUN BATTALION WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR.

ERECTED BY THEIR COMRADES THAT THEIR VALOUR AND SACRIFICE MAY BE KEPT IN PERPETUAL MEMORY.

TO GOD THE GLORY THAT WE OWE AND LEST WE SHOULD FORGETFUL GROW WE HERE DO HONOUR TO THE BRAVE WHO LIFE AND ALL FOR COUNTRY GAVE.
