Dalgleish Drive honours Neil S. Dalgleish (arrived c. 1906, hardware store, d. 1924). The City of Kamloops Heritage Commission initiated the Veterans Street Sign project to promote public awareness of the City’s heritage. To honour their Veterans the City of Kamloops added a poppy symbol to the Dalgleish Drive street sign in honour of Second Lieutenant Neil John Dalgleish. Neil John was the Nephew of Neil S. and he died while serving with the Royal Air Force during the First World War.
