"Unveiling of Memorial Cenotaph To Be Impressive Ceremony" - An interesting ceremony, and one which should create wide interest, will be the unveiling of a memorial cenotaph in memory of those who gave their lives in the Two World Wars. The ceremony will take place at the site of the memorial on the municipal grounds in East Kildonan, corner Helmsdale Avenue and Henderson Highway, on Sunday, October 25, at 2 o'clock. The memorial is being directed by Prince Edward Branch (No. 81)of the Canadian Legion. Alex. Fraser, president of the branch, extends an invitation to all residents of the municipality to be present and take part in the service, which will be of a most impressive nature. In October 2009, the East Kildonan Cenotaph was moved to Centennial Park. Financial assistance was provided by the City of Winnipeg and Veterans Affairs Canada.
