A tablet in memory of Lieutenant Alexander Douglas Kirkpatrick of the 3rd Battalion was donated by his family and unveiled on September 10, 1916. Lieutenant Kirkpatrick was killed in action on April 24, 1915.

The first St. Mary the Virgin, was located on the north-west corner of Bloor and Delaware until 1914, when a new building was erected on Westmoreland. In 1966, the amalgamated with St. Cyprian’s, Manning Avenue and formed St. Mary the Virgin & St. Cyprian’s which closed in 2002.
