This memorial, erected by surviving members of the 7th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, is dedicated to the memory of Major Percy Rigby, an officer with the battalion killed in the First World War.

In Affectionate Memory of
MAJOR PERCY RIGBY,
OF THE SEVENTH BATTALION, FIRST CONTINGENT,
CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE,
WHO WAS KILLED AT FLEUX BAIX, FRANCE,
ON MARCH 10, 1915.

THIS TABLET IS ERECTED BY CERTAIN OF THE MEN OF
HIS BATTALION, IN MEMORY OF A GALLANT OFFICER,
A BRAVE SOLDIER, AND A TRUE FRIEND.
