The Manotick Cenotaph was erected about 1962 by the Manotick Legion and the former Rideau Township. It is dedicated to the memory of men and women of the Allied Forces who made the supreme sacrifice for their country. The wrought iron fence surrounding the cenotaph was once installed at the residence of The Rt. Honourable Sir Robert Borden, Prime Minister of Canada from 1911 – 1920. The outer fence is part of the original railings from the bridge that used to span the back channel here from 1872 until 1957.

Veterans' Way leads from the Manotick Cenotaph to the Watson's Mill.
