The colours (flags) were retired at the Canadian Forces Appreciation Night in February 2018. The colours will be stored in a display case at gate 6 visible from the interior or exterior of Maple Leaf Gardens. The Colours honour the Maple Leafs military history. Wing Commander William George Baker, World War I ace, served as President of the Maple Leaf Club.
