Notice:

The National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials is a public, crowd-sourced registry that helps Canadians learn about memorials in their communities. This peak was named in 1920 in honour of the town of Mons, Belgium which was the site of the first battle in which the British Expeditionary Force took part in the First World War. The town was recaptured by Canadian troops immediately before the armistice on 11 November 1918.
