Notice:

The National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials is a public, crowd-sourced registry that helps Canadians learn about memorials in their communities. This mountain was named in 1914 in honour of Capt. E.R.G. Evans. While serving with the Royal Navy, Capt. Evans was second in command of the British Antarctic Expedition (1910-1912) and become commander following the death of Captain Scott in 1912.
