This memorial consists of three brick panels, including the original stone memorial (found at a local Boy Scout camp), and a bronze plate containing the proper rank, name and date of death of the ten men, and a descriptive story of the pioneer era of flight. Gerry Carline, who found an old First World War air force memorial in the corner of a shed at the Scout Camp in 2000 wanted to restore it and find a place to put it on display. The Moose Jaw Memorial Committee erected the memorial on the north side of the Cenotaph in Crescent Park (NICMM #47005-002). The Committee received a maximum of $5,958 through the Community War Memorial Program, and it is dedicate to the ten men with ties to the community who served as pilots with the Royal Flying Corps and lost their lives during the First World War.
