The former Liverpool town hall is located on Main Street in Liverpool, Nova Scotia and is set back far enough from the street to sustain a war memorial and a flag pole in front. Official recognition refers to the building on its legal property at the time of designation (1984).
The statue is of a First World War soldier in full gear. Four plaques list the names of soldiers from the first and second World Wars as well as Korean War. Created in 1921 for 6000$, the monument stands today to remember all those who served in battle.
