Baptized Joseph-Georges-Alexis De Beaujour. Son of Alexis Princeville-de-Beaujour and Alma Larouche de Gauthier (deceased in 1907). His father was from France and had immigrated to Canada in 1892. He remarried to Anne-Marie Graille in 1909 and resided in Trois-Rivières, Mauricie, Québec. Georges stated being born in Trois-Rivières in 1893 when he enlisted.

Georges arrived in France as reinforcement for the 22nd Battalion on 29 June 1916, but he joined the francophone unit at the front on 19 September. He was killed in action two week later, during the assault on Regina Trench during the battle of Courcelette.

Courcelette is a village about 8 kilometres north-east of Albert (next to the main road D929 Albert-Bapaume). The REGINA TRENCH CEMETERY lies about 1.5 kilometres north-west of the village.

The REGINA TRENCH CEMETERY (signposted in the centre of Courcelette) is 1.5 kilometres down a single track lane (suitable for cars).
