Remembering Mary's Wedding
Weaving together text and music from the 2011 opera of the same name, composer Andrew Paul MacDonald and librettist Stephen Massicotte have created this new interpretation of the Mary’s Wedding story featuring a narrator and two singers with piano, creating an intimate opportunity for remembrance.

North Delta Remembrance Day Ceremony
The City of Delta, in partnership with the Kennedy Seniors Society, invites you and your family to attend the North Delta Remembrance Day Ceremony at Social Heart Plaza. This meaningful gathering brings together community members, veterans, service organizations, and youth groups to honour and reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who have defended Canada in acknowledgment of Veterans’ Week.
Fort Langley Remembrance Day
We wil be holding an Act of Remembrance on November 11 at the Fort Langley Cenotaph. The service will commence at approximately 10.30am.
Beyond VIMY
Kites for Peace
Veterans Affairs Canada will host a commemorative event Vancouver’s Sunset Beach to mark the 80th Anniversary of Victory in the Pacific and the end of the Second World War, culminating in a unique “Kites for Peace” activity. The event will include some remarks, live musical performances and exhibitors showcasing diversity, Canadian multiculturalism, and Canada’s military contributions, with a specific focus on the end of the Second World War. There will also be a kite decorating workshop and a chance for participants to fly their “Kites for Peace.”
