Since the opening of the War Memorial Gym in 1951, The University of British Columbia has held a ceremony commemorating November 11. This year, 2025 will mark seventy-five years that The University of British Columbia has hosted a Remembrance Day ceremony.
Concert of Remembrance
An annual tradition since the College’s founding, Canadian College of Performing Arts (CCPA) students will take the stage with the Band of the 5th (British Columbia) Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery, for a concert celebrating and honouring service. Through song and poetry, the sacrifices of our veterans are honoured.

Remembrance Day Service & Parade
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 295 Chilliwack-Vedder indoor service commences at 1000 hrs and finishes at 1025 hrs at Evergreen Hall. Then march to Veteran's Memorial Park.
Remembrance Day Parade
Parade from Royal Canadian Legion Branch 295 Chilliwack-Vedder to All Sapper's Memorial Park. Form up behind the Legion at 1015 hrs November 11th and march to cenotaph at 1030 hrs.
All veterans, firefighters, paramedics welcome to march.
