The Captain Brenden MacDonald Memorial was unveiled on 16 July 2022 and includes a plaque, a photo of MacDonald and a photo of the CH148 helicopter. A Cyclone helicopter did a low speed pass over the field during the ceremony.
Brenden was a helicopter pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces who died in 2020 along with five others in a Cyclone crash in the Ionian Sea. He was born and raised in New Glasgow.

HE WAS KILLED ON THE WESTERN FRONT
ON FEBRUARY 28TH 1915, BY A GERMAN SNIPER,
AND WAS BURIED AT VOOMEZEELE, BELGIUM.
HE GAVE HIS LIFE IN ATTEMPTING TO RESCUE A COMRADE.
"GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS."
A plaque in honour of Private John W. Tate, the first Nova Scotian to fall in the Great War, is located on the front wall of the Kirk Memorial United Church.

Lest We Forget
This large series of picture cabinets contains photos of as many local veterans as could be located (over 125). Additional information lists when they served and if they died. This Wall of Honour was completed in 2013 as a project of the Tracadie Veterans' Association.
This park was a project of the Tracadie Veterans' Association. It underwent extensive renovations in 2016.
