Erected by the Lions' Club in 1988, this memorial is dedicated to the local veterans of the First and Second World Wars. In October 1927, The Meyronne Cenotaph was constructed in the memory of all who served in the armed services from 1914 - 1918. In 1988 the members of the Lions’ Club of Meyronne built a new cenotaph. It is a huge stone set on a cement foundation, with a beautiful bronze plaque attached to the face. This plaque has all the names of the members from Meyronne, who served in the Armed Forces in the First and Second World Wars. In July 1988, the Village of Meyronne held a homecoming and the 75th Anniversary of the Village. At this time the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 204 (Lafleche) performed the dedication ceremony of the new Cenotaph in a very impressive manner.
