This cairn is dedicated to the memory of the village of Norgate, the church, the school and in memory of all the pioneers of the district. Also all the boys who left our community to serve in the two world wars, and in special memory of the ones who never returned. 1895 - 1971 July 27, 1985 A.D.

Honour Roll. A dedication to the men and women from Amaranth and surrounding districts who served in all wars. They fought for honour and freedom for our country. World War l (4 columns, 74 names/4 colonnes, 74 noms). World War ll (4 columns, 91 names/4 colonnes, 91 noms). To those who made the supremem sacrifice our honoured few we'll ne'er forget who fought for freedom, lost and yet gave us peace that we enjoy, do rest in peace our district "boys." We apologize for any names missed.
Dedicated to the men and women from Amaranth and surrounding districts who served in all wars, this memorial was erected by the Amaranth History Book Committee in 1994.

This memorial is dedicated by the People of Beautiful Plains and Citizens of Neepawa to the memory of those who served in the First and Second World Wars and Korea.
In 1920 the Canadian William A. Rogers Limited Company published a catalogue of memorial designs including the overlife-sized statue of a soldier in greatcoat. According to the catalogue, Rogers was at that time the only bronze foundry in Canada that had successfully made large casts like this. The figure is a cast from a model by a St. Boniface sculptor named Nicolas Pirroton.
