Veteran’s Plaza is the focal point of the community’s downtown open space system. In 2008, LEES+Associates (with Asymmetric Design Group) was commissioned to design the new plaza. The design team worked closely with City staff and Veterans to design a new cenotaph which is the plaza's focal point. Since its completion in October of 2009, the plaza has been the site of the annual Remembrance Day observations.

On 10 December 1970 Mount Prince was named in honour of Private Herbert Prince who was killed on 3 February 1945 at the Italian Front while serving with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps.

This memorial was erected by Saik'uz First Nation in honour of their Veterans of the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.

The Memorial Wall was erected by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 and Ladies Auxiliary in 2007. Work began around the year 2000, by the Group of Garden Angels who worked on a garden area. When they dissolved in 2005, the Royal Canadian Legion No. 43 Ladies Auxiliary took over raising money for the memorial.

The City of Prince George provided the plot and the stone and bench were made from a local company. Both the Canadian Red Ensign and the Canadian flag are on the memorial.

This monument commemorates Rear Admiral Johan Pitka. He was the founder of Fort St. James, and he also fought in World War I.

The cenotaph consists of two pillars of river rock and bronze plaques and was dedicated on 6 June 2010 in recognition of the 66th Anniversary of D-Day, a turning point in the Second World War. It was designed to be reminiscent of the Vimy Ridge Memorial.

On 11 November 1991 Mount Routh was named in honour of Corporal Patrick Albert Darnley Routh who was was killed in action on 23 May 1944 while serving with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps.

This mountain was named in 1967 in honour of Private Axel Pearson. Pearson was from Giscome, BC. He was killed on 2 November 1943 while serving with the Canadian Forestry Corps.

This mountain was named in 1966 in honour of Private Roy E. Ovington. Ovington was from Alenza Lake, BC and was killed in action in 1944.

This mountain was named in 1966 in honour of Private Charles Robert Hedrick. Hedrick was killed in action on 9 June 1944.
