Clapperton Road honours George Alexander Clapperton and family. It is located on their former ranch site. The City of Kamloops Heritage Commission initiated the Veterans Street Sign project to promote public awareness of the City’s heritage. To honour their Veterans the City of Kamloops added a poppy symbol to the Clapperton Road street sign in honour of Sergeant Russell Haigh Clapperton. Russell was George's nephew and he died while serving with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals during the Second World War.

Bostock Place was named in honour of Senator Hewitt Bostock (rancher, politician). The City of Kamloops Heritage Commission initiated the Veterans Street Sign project to promote public awareness of the City’s heritage. To honour their Veterans the City of Kamloops added a poppy symbol to the Bostock Place street sign in honour of Hewitt Bostock's son Lieutenant Alexander Hewitt Bostock, who died while serving with the Lord Strathcona’s Horse during the First World War.

Vicars, Commanding Officer of the Rocky Mountain Rangers and sons Hugh and Desmond. The City of Kamloops Heritage Commission initiated the Veterans Street Sign project to promote public awareness of the City’s heritage. To honour their Veterans the City of Kamloops added a poppy symbol to the Vicars Road street sign in honour of Lieutenant-Colonel J.R. Vicars and his son Desmond who later served as the Commanding Officer of the Rocky Mountain Rangers.

Built in 1948-49 by Charles Burwell Kerrens Van Norman and dedicated on November 11, 1949, the Memorial Arena represents community efforts to commemorate lost soldiers at the end of the Second World War. Its construction reflects increasing population growth as troops returned to the area. The arena was built with funds raised by the Kamloops and District War Memorial Recreational Society.

This plaque is dedicated to Captain Edward Donald Bellew, VC of the 7th Canadian Light Infantry Battalion, CEF. He was awarded the first Canadian Officer VC on 23 April 1915 at the 2nd Battle of Ypres near St. Julien in Belgium. The plaque was erected by the British Columbia Regiment Association on 23 October 2004.
