Memorials are important. They are ways to remember special people or events. The National War Memorial in Ottawa honours all Canadians who have served and died for our country. When we visit monuments like this one, we show that we care. That also means we must treat memorials with respect. What our soldiers, sailors and aviators did matters a lot!

Many communities across our country have memorials honouring Canadians in uniform. Visit one in your hometown and take time to remember.
