Canadians in South-east Asia
During the Second World War, Canadians saw action in South East Asia from 1941 to 1945. It was a very challenging place to serve; the enemy was skilled, the fighting harsh and the environment very different from home. Despite the hardships faced in places like Hong Kong and Burma, brave Canadians did their part to help the Allies triumph and 'V-J (victory over Japan) Day' was declared on August 15, 1945.
