Son of John Danyliuk and Anna Zazulak.
Enrolled in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, served in Manitoba, transferred on October 20th, 1940 to the 1st Battalion Winnipeg Grenadiers and was drafted into C Force for service in Hong Kong and then as a prisoner of war in Japan. He had 867 days of service, including 765 overseas.
To commemorate his sacrifice, the Manitoba government named Daniliuk Lake located northwest of Lake Nejanilini in his honor in 1975.

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
