Son of Walter Ramour Harding and Hazel May Morton, of Andover, Massachusetts.

Walter fought in Europe with the United States Army in World War I, regimental number 725, and in the Second World War, he did not fight, regimental number 2153.

Brother of a soldier who served overseas with the United States Army in World War II.

Served in Québec, Newfoundland with Force W, Hong Kong with Force C, Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 980 days of service, including 791 overseas.

Location:

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
