Born 13 June 1925. Son of Arthur and Miriam Chippendale, of Kingston, Ontario. Brother James Henry and Leading Seaman Joseph Thomas Chippendale, Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve, deceased 20 September 1943 in the sinking of the HMCS St. Croix.
