  • Newspaper Clipping– This report of the death of Captain Cruess Callaghan appeared in the July 5, 1917 issue of the Northern Advance newspaper (Barrie, Ontario). (His first name was mistakenly reported as "Dan" rather than "Stan.")  Note: Camp Hoare was the Royal Flying Corps airfield at Camp Borden, west of Barrie, Ontario, named in honour of Lieutenant-Colonel (later Brigadier-General) C.G. Hoare, the commanding officer of the RFC in Canada.
