Son of Joseph Desrosiers and Philomène Plante, of Lowell, Massachusetts.

He emigrated to Canada in November 1914. Enlisted in the 41st Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, he arrived in Plymouth, England, on June 28, 1915. He was assigned to the 23rd Reserve Battalion the day before his arrival, then transferred to the 22nd Battalion on September 10. On September 19, 1916, he was wounded by a bullet in his right knee during the Battle of Courcelette. From January 18 to 22, 1917, he was seconded to the headquarters of the 1st Canadian Division Engineers. Upon returning to his unit, he was killed in action on August 27, 1918, by machine gun fire during the Battle of Chérisy while advancing from Wancourt to Chérisy.

Take the D38 from Cherisy to Hendecourt. Approximately 2 kilometres from Cherisy turn left just before Sun Quarry Cemetery onto a dirt track. Continue for 1 kilometre before turning left to arrive at Quebec Cemetery.
