Son of Henry and Dinah Jacobs. Husband of Susan Jacobs.

He also served at HMSAS Bonaventure, headquarters of the South African Naval Forces in Cape Town, South Africa. He died at sea from internal bleeding on board the Stanley Park. He was brought back to Cape Town where he was buried.
