Son of James Turner and Emily Owen of Cardiff, Wales. 1st marriage with Harriet Walters Cleverdon of Cardiff with whom he had two children, Irene May and James Albert Turner. In his 2nd marriage, he was united to Edith Eleanor Dean of Liverpool, Lancashire, England, who gave him two other children, Lewis and George Turner.
