The National Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Memorial for soldiers who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars is the only memorial in Canada dedicated solely to the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (RCHA), not to be confused with the Royal Regiment of Artillery Memorial dedicated to all gunners.
The magnificent granite structure includes bronze plaques for locations of Battle Honours. The memorial is flanked by two canons from the 1800s. It also includes a 25-pounder gun with plaques from the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and the Royal Canadian Regiment for Gunner support in Afghanistan and Korea. It was erected in 1921 by their comrades of the RCHA who survived the wars and dedicated by General Burstal. In 1951 it was rededicated and updated by FM Lord Alexander.
