The head office of The Merchants Bank of Canada, which the Bank of Montreal acquired in 1925, was formerly located on Saint Jacques Street. The Merchants Bank of Canada First World War Honour Roll comes from this former head office. It was installed at the BMO Main Branch on April 2, 2008.
