Opportunities After the War

Transcript
When I got home I had Grade 10. The parish priest convinced me to go back to high school and I ended up with fifteen year olds waiting for the Veteran’s Training School to open in Pictou so I went from September to January back in Westville High School. And then I did, along with everybody else, hundreds of others, completed high school at Veteran’s Training School and I got into St. FX. Three months after I got into university I met my wife. We’re celebrating tomorrow, we’ll be celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary. I got my commerce degree, got hired with Air Canada and worked for one company. It’s been a great life. I have five children, ten grandchildren. I feel sorry for all the boys that didn’t have the opportunity that I had.
