Lieu de l’enterrement/commemoration
Le 15 juin 1917, l’Addah navigue sans escorte au sud-ouest de Penmarch, Bretagne, France, lorsqu’il est torpillé par l’UC-69. Le sous-marin a fait surface et a tiré au canon de pont sur les embarcations de sauvetage. Ce crime de guerre a coûté la vie à neuf marins. L’Addah a coulé dix minutes après le début de l’attaque, position 47°24’N/05°00’O.

The tower Hill Memorial is located in London, England at Tower Hill and across from the Tower of London. This Memorial is dedicated to the 50,700 Commonwealth merchant seamen, fishing fleet workers and other on-board crew lost during the First World War. Included on this list are the 480 Canadians that gave their lives in the cause of the Great War. (J. Stephens)
