Burial/memorial information
On June 15, 1917, the Addah was sailing unescorted south-west of Penmarch, Brittany, France, when it was torpedoed by UC-69. The submarine surfaced and fired deck guns at the lifeboats. This war crime cost the lives of nine sailors. The Addah sank ten minutes after the attack began, in position 47°24'N/05°00'W.

The tower Hill Memorial is located in London, England at Tower Hill and across from the Tower of London. This Memorial is dedicated to the 50,700 Commonwealth merchant seamen, fishing fleet workers and other on-board crew lost during the First World War.
