Son of Pierre Félix (alias Peter Felix) Chiasson and Mary Ann McLeod, of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.

He served in Canada and Great Britain. He had 705 days of service, including 422 overseas.

His bomber was shot down in an air raid on Duisburg, Germany. It crashed into the sea about 18 miles (30 km) west of Den Haag.
