He was a private with the 2nd Battalion, Royal Winnipeg Rifles – NPAM – service No. H-520416, from October 9, to November 7, 1940.
He served in Canada and Britain. He was reported missing when his Lancaster Bomber did not return from a night air raid over the German city of Düsseldorf. He had 486 days of service, 298 of which were overseas.
1939-1945 Star, Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 , Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Bar, Operational Wings.
