Make peace cranes and doves

Age group: 6 - 18

To encourage students to think about the importance of peace and those who defend it, have your class make origami peace cranes or paper doves.

Featured activity

Older students will learn about the ancient Japanese art of origami and why origami cranes have become a symbol of peace.

Younger students will enjoy making a dove of peace by tracing their hands. They can even write wishes for peace on the wings.
