Grave of Sgt. 628017 James Irving MM Who served with the 47th Battn. C.E.F. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery on Dec. 9th 1916. Born in Cumberland England on June 10th 1888. He enlisted into the C.E.F. at Camp Vernon BC on June 13th 1915. He listed prior military service with the 11th Irish Fus. of Canada (Militia) He listed his occupation as "Motor Driver" James was invalided back to Canada because of wounds in 1917 and died in Vancouver BC on Nov. 9th 1918 at the age 30. -
